I just received this from the Falmouth Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS):
The 9th annual VIPS fundraiser, the Feasts of Falmouth & Beyond, is fast approaching and we anticipate another successful event with a tent full of local restaurants serving up their delicious specialties!
The Feasts of Falmouth is scheduled for Saturday, September 25th, at the Falmouth Marine Park on Scranton Ave., from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. As this event continues to become more popular each year, our need for volunteers grows too. We hope you will consider volunteering. And, as more hands make lighter work, consider inviting a friend or family member to come along to help!
Help would be greatly appreciated in the following areas:
o Set-up (tables, tablecloths, signs, supplies, etc.) (9 to 11 am)
o Hole-punching tickets at assigned restaurant tables (11 am to 2 pm)
o Supply distribution (plates, bowls, plastic ware, napkins, etc.) (11 am to 2 pm)
o Maintenance of garbage and recycling bins (11 am to 2 pm)
o Break-down (tables, chairs, linens; packing up supplies) (2 to 3 pm)
We would truly appreciate any volunteer assistance on the 25th. We could also use help in spreading the word about this fun, family-oriented event. Tickets, which are good for 10 generous "tastes" or appetizer-size portions from participants, are $20 and available at the door. All proceeds raised at this event go directly to VIPS programming expenses and local restaurants benefit from the exposure at the event.
