Channel 5 WCVB Tues. Chronicle February 28 Carpet Workroom

Channel 5 WCVB Tuesday Chronicle February 28 Carpet Workroom

This is the best place to go and so easy to get to.  Located in Needham at 39 Highland Circle.  If you haven't been here you are missing out, trust me on that.  You will not be disappointed.  Watch the show on Tuesday night and you will see what I mean.  Unique

Tune in to Channel 5 (WCVB) next tomorrow night, February 28th at 7:30pm.

We have once again been blessed by Channel 5's Chronicle. We will be featured on tomorrow night's episode titled, "Luxury for Less". We have been able to accomplish so much since our first appearance. It allowed us to move to a bigger, more customer friendly building. It also allowed us to double our employees, gain independence from other retailers, and offer more services. Most importantly, it has allowed our family to sculpt our very own business based on the values of the working class; hard work, solid craftsmanship, and fair prices.

Thank you so much for your continued support, spreading positive reviews, and helping us change the way carpet and rugs are bought and sold.

With appreciation,

Ridge Hill, Bradley Estate, Needham, MA

Ridge Hill, Bradley Estate, Needham, MA

Credit Greg Abazorius

Have you ever wanted a place to go and get away from the noise of life without driving a long distance?   Well we have it here in Needham and that is Ridge Hill, named that because there is a glacier there.  This part of Needham was once where the wealthy of Boston came to summer.  The beautiful piece of land is home to many animals, plants, grasses and it is so beautiful.  There are many trails within the large parcel of land too.

Link to trails at Ridge Hill: http://www.needhamma.gov/DocumentView.aspx?DID=2350

Often I go there to set and think, meditate, plan and just get away from the noise of life.  I am only 3 miles east of that sweet spot.  We are so fortunate of have this lovely land to share as a community.

Here are two links to some history about this site which was part of a much large parcel of land.  It provides for an interesting true story of this area of Needham and a man named William Emerson Baker (no relation).

http://www.boston.com/yourtown/needham/articles/2010/04/08/little_remains_of_19th_century_eccentrics_wondrous_estate_in_needham/?page=2

Special thanks to  the League of Women Voters who hosted a wonderful informative evening on  the Ridge Hill property at the Needham Public Library.

Once the Bradley Estate, the town originally purchased 222 acres in 1972 and put it under the oversight of the Conservation Commission. Through additional acquisitions, the reservation now includes 360 acres of uplands, trails and access to the Charles River.

Until recently, the Bradley Morse house was open for public use. The Selectmen have been responsible for the house and the surrounding 3 acres since the Massachusetts legislature allowed that parcel to be separated from the rest of the reservation land.

Now the way I see it is how can we rehab and preserve the house, garage, and other buildings.  It will be costly and could be a few million to rehab but it would be a shame not to.  If you love history and architecture like I do you understand what I am talking about.  Along with the wonderful acreage is these buildings and how can we do it.  I will have my thinking cap or and I hope others will too and put our collective ideas together and and find a way to pay forthe rehab of this buildings.

The link below describes the Ecological Management plan.

If you are in the market for a well kept home in a fantastic Milford neighborhood then looking no further than this home in The Highlands! There is no doubt The Highlands is one of the most popular neighborhoods in town. It is located on the Hopkinton side of Milford and offers an easy commute to major routes.

9 Winterberry Lane has most things buyers want in a property including a cul-de-sac location and incredible level fenced backyard. In my opinion the lot is easily one of the best in the neighborhood! Stepping inside you will immediately feel the pride in ownership as the owner has done a great job keeping a great home as well as adding appropriate upgrades that buyer's want.

My favorite two areas of the home are the kitchen and family room. The kitchen is beautiful with light Oak cabinetry, and recently added granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen just pops! The whole room is flooded with natural light through a slider that overlooks the outstanding yard, deck and patio.

For those that like an entertainment size family room you will just love what you find here. In fact the family room would best be described as a "great room" with it's large flowing space. This exceptional room is appointed with a brick fireplace, built-in window seat and two gorgeous palladium style feature windows.

There are also a formal dining and living room that have hardwood floors and a very nice walk-out bay window for terrific sunlight. A first floor powder room and laundry area round out the first floor.

The second floor has three excellent size bedrooms including a nice master suite with full bath and walk-in closet. Another nice touch is the walk-out bay window. The family bedrooms are serviced by a full bath as well.

Last but not least the home has additional finished space in the lower level. This is very flexible space that could be used for any number of things including a second family room, exercise area or in home office. There are Pergo floors and plenty of closet space. The lower level is a professionally finished space by Owens Corning.

In total there are 8 rooms, 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The total gross living area is about 2702 square feet. There is a two car garage and the lot is .35 acres. The taxes for 2011 on this Milford home were $5725.00
