Boston - Needham Bank, with five branches throughout the greater Boston area is proud to announce its sponsorship of Needham 300, a year-long celebration of the town's 300th birthday.

"Due to the Bank's generous $125,000 sponsorship, Needham 300 will be able to fulfill a wish of making most of the events throughout this remarkable celebration free to the residents of Needham," said Valerie Herman, co-chair, along with William Tilburg, of the Tercentennial Committee.

Needham 300 will kick off on the weekend of November 5, 2010 with a football game, Rotary Club pancake breakfast, a parade, and open market. Activities planned throughout the year will include a historical house tour, concerts, battle reenactment, July 4th celebration and neighborhood block parties, with events culminating on November 5, 2011 with a gala celebration at the newly renovated Great Hall in Needham.

"Needham Bank has once again demonstrated its commitment and generosity toward the town with this extraordinary donation to the Needham Tercentennial Committee and we are more than grateful," said Herman.

"It is a privilege and a pleasure to sponsor Needham 300," said Jack W. McGeorge, President of Needham Bank. "We're proud to be part of this wonderful community and look forward to all the events planned in celebration of its 300th birthday."
