Big HitKick-Off For Needham 300
What an amazing weekend we had. Every aspect of the Needham 300 Kick-off weekend was simply super. What great fun for all ages. The "100 Years of Football" movie was very touching. It will be shown again at the Thanksgiving Day Football game too and DVD's are orderable.
Green's field was packed with children at the old fashioned field day complete with balloon rides. A great success. Then the promenade followed and there was a good following for that.
The food was a big hit with restaurants represented as follows: Petite Robert, Sweet Basil, Treet Cupcake, Nicolas Pizza, Mighty Sub, and Centre Cafe. The entertainment was outstanding and really enjoyed by all. Every single group who entertained was amazing. So glad we had a good turnout. Everyone I talked to kept saying they were so glad they came.
After the time capsule was opened Paulette's dancers performed and they were magnificent. Paulette had to be very proud of them. I kept thinking of my friend Mary Brauer who danced 50 years ago at the 250 Birthday celebration. Such a very neat thing.
We topped off the evening at "Highlandville Tavern" which was actually the Village Club. That was fun and again everyone remarked at what a weekend kick-off it was.
Can't wait for all the events. We have just begun.
