American Flags at the National Cemetery in Bourne MA
In honor of our fallen heroes and in observance of Veteran's Day, there will be a placing of American flag at each gravesite at the National Cemetery in Bourne, Mass on on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012.
The cemetery never allowed flags to be placed there until Paul Monti of Raynham, Mass. organized the first "mass" planting and removal last fall. Paul's son, Jared Monti, was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2006 and is buried in Bourne.
Paul needs volunteers to help him with project! The flag placing kicks off at 10 am on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at the end of the Avenue of Flags at the Natioal Cemetary in Bourne. Please bring a long shank screwdriver to facilitate placing the flags into the ground.
Your efforts are greatly appreciated by all lof us, so please try to be there, and bring some friends as well!
Also, on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 10 am, we will be pulling all the American flags and placing them in containers so they can be used again next year.
Please pass the word to any veterans and friends of veterns you know and let's help Paul Monti and get the flags placed for our deceased military heroes!
